The birthplace of the Hollywood premiere, this 1922 movie palace hosted the world's first red-carpet film debut with Douglas Fairbanks in Robin Hood. Now operated by American Cinematheque and recently restored by Netflix, the Egyptian is one of only five U.S. theaters capable of projecting rare nitrate film prints.
