This East Village landmark began life in 1926 as the Yiddish Art Theatre, and the ornate Louis Sullivan-designed auditorium still takes your breath away. Now operated by Angelika, seven screens bring independent and specialty films to one of Manhattan's most architecturally stunning cinema spaces.
